CLEAN FUEL — About, Privacy & Safety
The plain-English version. No legal fog — this is genuinely how it works.
Who we are
CLEAN FUEL is made by Clean Fuel Living Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (no. 16546835). It's a free family food app built around one idea: real whole food, nothing processed.

Your data stays on your device
Everything you enter — profiles, plans, weights, diaries, kids' preferences and allergies — is stored only in your browser on your own phone or tablet. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing is uploaded automatically. We can't see it. If you delete the app or clear the site's data, it's gone (that's why the app offers Backup codes — only you hold those).
Exactly two things ever leave your device, and only if you choose them:
- "Stay in the loop" sign-up or "Email me this list" — your email (and name/phone if given) goes to our own server (Cloudflare), is stored securely, and is used only to send you what you asked for. Unsubscribe any time by replying or emailing us.
- Ordinary web hosting logs — like any website, our host (Cloudflare) records standard technical logs when pages load.
There are no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no third-party cookies in any CLEAN FUEL app.
Children's data & safeguarding
- Kids' profiles never leave the device. No child data is collected by us, full stop.
- A parent or guardian should set children up. Allergies can only be edited from a grown-up's profile — a child can't change them, and the app never knowingly shows a meal containing a selected allergen, on any screen, including chat.
- Under-18s never see calorie deficits, weight-loss goals, body-fat tracking or weight targets. The app contains no weight-cutting, fasting or dehydration content, and will refuse chat requests for them.
- For children carrying extra weight our approach is active, not passive: cut the processed food and sugary drinks, eat real structured meals, move every day — excess fat comes off while they grow, without child dieting, which the research links to eating disorders and rebound weight gain. Serious cases belong with a GP or registered dietitian.
How the nutrition works — and its limits
- Grown-ups: calorie targets use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (or Katch-McArdle when a measured body-fat % is given). Protein ranges follow published sports-nutrition research (Helms et al. / ISSN positions); fat never drops below 0.8g per kg of bodyweight.
- Kids: deliberately no calories or numbers. The approach follows the Ellyn Satter "division of responsibility" and portion guidance from the British Dietetic Association and American Academy of Pediatrics — parents choose what's offered, kids choose how much.
- Allergens: every meal is tagged against the UK's 14 regulated allergens (Food Standards Agency list). Where an ingredient depends on the brand you buy (e.g. curry powder, stock), the app says "check packaging". This is not a medical guarantee — always check labels and cross-contamination warnings yourself, especially for serious allergies.
Honesty note: CLEAN FUEL's meal content is general, whole-food meal inspiration compiled from the published guidance above. It has not been reviewed by a registered dietitian. It is not medical advice and no professional review has taken place — if you or your child have a health condition, an eating disorder history, or complex allergies, please speak to your GP or a registered dietitian. Content last reviewed 13 August 2026 by the app's maker.
